My favorite things at my favorite time of year

Fa lalala la lala la la... Christmas is coming up and the Holidays are here, what a great time to start a style blog!
I'm not Oprah but I do have a list of my favorite things... favorite products, brands, designers, places to shop, and gifts that I would love to share with you! Everything on my "favorites" list is tried and true by me... I won't steer you wrong!

Favorite products:
So I have to admit, I really do like tanning - not just because of the tan but also because of the relaxation and 20 minute break from life. Still, I know that that tanning isn't great for my health or my looks! So, to get the great tan, I recommend the product SEVIN NYNE - it's a sunless tanning spray that gives you an instant boost of color, smells great, and is SO easy to use. I use it on my face almost every day to help give me that "summer-time glow."
Go to http://www.sevinnyne.com/ to read about all of the great products available. This is BY FAR the best sunless tanning product that I have found.

Next, we have my newly found FAVORITE mascara. This one is a toss up because there are two that I have found that are leaps and bounds apart from the rest of the bunch. You can't go wrong with "Falsies" by Maybeline.
But, there's a new kid in town - it's called "They're Real" by Benefit Cosmetics. This mascara has a unique wand that really does help to pick up every single lash and gives a great fullness to your lashes. I bought it at Sephora, but to find out more, go to http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/theyre-real.

A few other makeup items that I am loving this season: NARS bronzing powder, Sephora heated eyelash curler, TIGI "superstar" shampoo and conditioner, "It's a 10" hair mask, Revlon Colorburst lipgloss, Origin's "no-puffery" eye gel, and Burt's Bees cuticle cream. All of these products really do make getting ready just a bit easier and a bit more fun!

Now for my favorite brands and designers (and more importantly - why):
I am a big advocate for saving money where possible BUT, I am an even bigger advocate for investing in quality pieces/basics over buying a cheap version. For example, I am LOVING the James Perse Long-sleeve V-neck shirts. They fit amazing and they LAST! The way that they hold their shape and flatter your body make them an item that is absolutely worth investing in!

Another brand that I am loving right now is "Mother" jeans. These designer jeans are a fabulous pick because they have a great shape and are made from great material. The pair that I love also has a semi-high rise which makes them even more flattering. Throw them on with a pair of heels and a cute top and you have one great outfit!
Finally, I am really getting the maximum use this season from my longchamp bag. These classic pieces are great for everyday use and can carry much more than you can imagine. I have yet to meet a person who does not love this brand. It is stylish, but functional... and it's timeless! This item is absolutely worth it's semi-reasonable price! Love it!

Now for places to shop. Ahh, shopping - it's what I do for a living - at least part of what I do. I have some great places that I have discovered over the years that are wonderful places to shop. Still, my #1 pic is and always has been Nordstrom. With their exceptional customer service and return policy, great selection of inventory, and easy to shop layout, it's hard to beat this store's shopping experience.

Other local boutiques, online stores, and shops that I love include: www.piperlime.com, www.amazon.com, Garbarini boutique, A-line boutique, and Urban Outfitters when I want to add a little edge to my ensemble.

Well that's all that I have for my favorite things... for now. But I'm always finding new ones! If you have some favorite things that you want to share, feel free!
