Kate's style is so enviable because she always looks put-together. I talk a lot about my "rule of 3's" - when you are wearing two items, you have clothes on, when you are wearing three items, you have an OUTFIT. Three pieces always looks for sophisticated and put-together than two. By adding a third pice (whether it be a jacket, vest, belt, scarf, etc.), you instantly pull the look together and go from "wearing clothes" to "wearing an OUTFIT."
